Adeeb Ahamed is an Indian entrepreneur and philanthropist from Thrissur district of Kerala. He is the CEO of Abu Dhabi-based LuLu International Exchange and is also a board member of LuLu Group International Management.

After successfully establishing LuLu International Exchange, he initiated and is currently Director of other divisions of the LuLu Group International including Tablez Food Company (F&B) and Twenty14 Holdings (hospitality). He also serves as the Treasurer of the Foreign Exchange and Remittance Group (FERG) in the UAE and is a board member of India-based Jai Hind Communications Private Limited.

He has been listed in the 2015 Top 100 Indian Leaders in the Arab World by Forbes Middle East and was also conferred with the Indian CEO of the Year Award in the ‘Financial Services’ category in the ITP Publishing Group’s 2014 edition of the Indian CEO Awards.

Career

Adeeb Ahamed began his professional career in 2003 as a sales and marketing executive at Grosvenor House, AJW Marriott in London, UK.

Soon after he joined the London-based Baglioni Hotel as its sales manager for Middle East and London before moving up the ladder to become the Director of Sales at the same hotel.

In the year 2008, he accepted the offer to set up and head LuLu International Exchange and has since diversified into other divisions of LuLu Group International including Tablez Food Company (F&B) and 2014 Holdings (hospitality).

LuLu International Exchange

LuLu International Exchange, which is the financial services arm of LuLu Group International, is a global foreign exchange and money remittance enterprise that serves banking institutions, business houses, local and international corporations as well as individuals.

LuLu International Exchange opened its first branch in 2009 and today has more than a 100 global branches and an active presence in eight countries viz. UAE, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, India, Bangladesh and Philippines.

Twenty14 Holdings

Adeeb Ahamed's qualifications and his keen interest in the hospitality sector led him to establish Twenty14 Holdings, an investment firm, focusing on acquisitions and management of assets throughout the globe.

The group recently finalised a £110 million deal to acquire the Great Scotland Yard, the former home of London’s Metropolitan Police Service, with plans to transform the building into a hotel.

The company will be opening its first hotel in Dubai at Business Bay in October 2015, which will be managed by the Frankfurt-based Steigenberger Hotel Group.

Tablez Food Company

Adeeb Ahamed is the Director of Tablez Food Company, the food and beverage entity of LuLu Group International. They specialize in unique homegrown, international and local cuisines as well as partnering with leading franchising concepts operating out of UAE and India. The company has developed two home grown brands that include Bloomsbury’s - an English Artisan coffee shop and Peppermill - a fine dining colonial Indian themed restaurant.

Tablez FC owns franchise rights of brands including London Dairy, Galito’s – Authentic flamed grilled chicken, Genghis Grill – ‘Build your own stir fry brand’, Famous Dave’s – The legendary American Pit Barbeque.

Tablez currently operates a total of 31 outlets globally and has plans to increase the number to 50 by the end of 2015.

LuLu Forex India Pvt Ltd.

LuLu Forex Private Limited is one of the fastest growing financial service chains in India. Incorporated in 2010 and registered with the Reserved Bank of India as a Full Fledged Money Changer (FFMC), the entity is engaged in the purchase and sale of foreign currency mainly with banks, hotels and corporate sectors. The firm has also applied to the Reserve Bank of India for the Small Finance Bank license.

Education

Adeeb Ahamed holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Les Roches International School of Hotel Management, Bluche, Switzerland, and an MBA in International Management from Royal Holloway, University of London, UK.

    Adeeb Ahamed gives priority to public service activities focused on universal education awareness and empowerment of girls’ education and has also been involved in projects such as building a girls’ hostel in Kerala, India and contributing to the construction of an Indian School in Oman. He has also gone on to support the parents of young children needing heart operations and facilitates for the treatment of such infants aged one to five, which he continues to address, and is also an active member in various charitable trusts.
