Adamke or Adamke Cheema is a village in the Punjab province of Pakistan. The village is located at 32°23'N 74°21'E and is nearly 6 km away from Daska. This village belongs to Tehsil Daska and District Sialkot.

Overview

Adamke is a large village. It is located at Sambrial-Daska Road. It is divided into three major parts mainly Adamke, Nai Abadi and Adamke Adda.

People

Most of the residents are Rajputs, Pathans, Kashmiris, Cheemas, Mughals, Ghummans and Ansaaris. People of the village are associated with private services, agriculture and small businesses. Many residents do their jobs in nearby cities like Sialkot, Daska and Gujranwala.

Modern facilities like Telephone, Gas, Roads, Electricity, Transport are available in the village. Inter college, Dispensery and Commercial area of Adda makes it an ideal village.

Transportation

A motorway standard road passes through the village and links it to Daska, Sambrial, Sambrial airport, and larger cities such as Sialkot and Gujranwala. The nearest railway station is about 17 km (11 mi) away (Sambrial railway station). Sialkot International Airport is the closest airport, almost 15 km away from the village. A link road for Daska is also proposed for Sialkot Lahore Motorway. The proposed motorway will start from the Mehmood Booti side of the Lahore ringroad and will end near Sambrial on the Sialkot-Wazirabad road.

Geography and climate

Adamke is cold during winters and hot and humid during summers. May and June are the hottest months. Its quite humid during rainy season of July and August. The temperature during winter may drop to 0°C. Most of the rain falls during the Monsoon season in summer which sometimes results in flooding.
