Domestic career
Zampa made his first-class debut for New South Wales in the 2012–13 Sheffield Shield against Queensland.
In a match against the Sunrisers Hyderabad at the 2016 IPL, he took 6 wickets for 19 runs and ranked as the second best performance as a bowler in the history of the IPL after 6/14 by Sohail Tanvir. This performance adjudged him as the Man of the match.He also hold the record for the best bowling figures by a bowler in T20 history in a losing cause(6/19). He took 30 ODI wickets in 2016, which is the most by any player.
International career
He made his ODI debut on 6 February 2016 in the second match of 2015–16 Chappell–Hadlee Trophy series. He made his Twenty20 International debut for Australia against South Africa on 4 March 2016.
