Adam Samuel Goldman (born 1971, Syossett, NY) is a Los Angeles-based composer, producer, filmmaker, and artist. He is best known for his work as songwriter, producer, and frontman for the electronic band Fol Chen (credited as Samuel Bing) and the indie-pop band Bedroom Walls, and as a touring member of Liars. As an artist, he has collaborated with Machine Project on projects including the Composer-Free Song Generator that appeared at the Walker Art Center in 2012, and (with Monome) a "a motion- and orientation-sensitive musical pyramid" toy called The Tetrafol. As composer, Goldman scored the 2015 documentary film Knock Knock, It's Tig Notaro for Showtime and contributed original music for the 2014 feature film Blackbird, directed by Patrik-Ian Polk. His commercial work includes music composed for Visa, Hyundai, and Canon, and a "faux New Wave song" written for a Hillshire Farms commercial directed by David O. Russell. In 2012, Goldman and Julian Wass (Fol Chen) collaborated with singer-songwriter Simone White to produce her acclaimed fourth album, Silver Silver (Honest Jon's). Goldman is a graduate of the California Institute of the Arts.
