Adam Equipment is a UK company that was started in 1972. It opened in Bletchley which is now part of Milton Keynes. The company started as a sales and service organization and in 1985 they moved into making industrial scales.

International Growth

As the company grew an opportunity came along to open up in South Africa. In 1990 their first international office was born, today the South African division is the largest scale and balance manufacturing company in that region and the only global supplier of scales and balances to have a fully staffed office to maintain its business.

Other Adam facilities soon were establish - USA in 1998 and Australia in 2002. In 2005 the company was the first UK company to establish a wholly owned manufacturing plant in China without partnerships with trading companies. In 2014 Adam announced plans for a new sales and distribution center in Germany. AE Adam GmbH, a newly formed subsidiary company of Adam Equipment, is located in a new building in Felde, Germany, and serves Germany and parts of Europe.

Products

Their product lines consist of analytical balances, precision balances, compact portable balances, counting scales, approved scales, weighing scales, indicators, wash down scales and medical scales - To name a few of the different products that they manufacture.
