The company claims to provide one of the cheapest brokerage plans in online trading programme. Online "discount broking" gained popularity as a concept in the US in the late 1990s and early 2000s, and now dominates the business. In the US the entry of discount broking firms such as E*Trade, TD Ameritrade and Charles Schwab in 1990s had forced big brokers such as Goldman Sachs and Bank of America to shut down their retail broking divisions.
