In 2015 the Brazilian Film Critics Association (Abraccine) published a list with the 100 best Brazilian films according to the votes of its members. This poll will be the basis to a book named The 100 Greatest Brazilian Films expected to come out in 2016.

List breakdown

  • Glauber Rocha, is the director with most films in the list: five; followed by RogĂ©rio Sganzerla, Joaquim Pedro de Andrade, Nelson Pereira dos Santos, Hector Babenco and Carlos Reichenbach each with four films.
