The Abilene Christian Wildcats softball team represents Abilene Christian University, located in Abilene, Texas. The Wildcats are a full member of the Southland Conference and participate in Division I college softball. The team is currently led by head coach Bobby Reeves and plays home games at Poly Wells Field.
The 2014–15 season is the second year of a four-year transitional period for Abilene Christian from D2 to D1. In years 2–4 Abilene Christian will be classified as a D1 school for scheduling purposes. They will play a full conference schedule, and they can win the regular season conference title. However Abilene Christian cannot participate in the conference tourney until the 2017–18 season, at which time they will also be eligible for an invitation to the NCAA tournament.
