History
The village was named after Abhey Singh Ganda, a landlord with farms and fruit & vegetable gardens. He moved to the Abhepur in order to stay near to his farms and gardens. Gradually, the population and the number of houses grew and the place was officially named after his name as Abhepur.
Location and economy
Situated on the Malerkotla-Nabha road, it is known for flower cultivation. Proper temperature, appropriate relative humidity and fertile soil makes this place excellent for commercial flower cultivation.
