Justice Abhay Kumar Gohil is an Arbitrator who is holding International and Domestic Arbitration matters. He is a Former Judge of Madhya Pradesh High Court and was also a Chairman of Appellate Authority for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction (AAIFR), New Delhi. He was also Chairman of Inquiry Commission in Karnataka.
Justice Gohil born on 1 July 1946 and is a son of Late Shri Keshrimal Gohil who was a Veteran Freedom Fighter and was a Chairman of Municipality Sironj, District Vidisha, M.P
Experience and Achievements
He enrolled as an advocate in the year 1967-68 with the State Bar Council of Madhya Pradesh, Jabalpur.
He was a practicing lawyer at Bhopal and Jabalpur in the High Court of Madhya Pradesh from 1976 to 1999, in all the branches of law.
Appointed as a Government Advocate before the Madhya Pradesh Arbitral Tribunal in 1986 by the State Government of Madhya Pradesh up and until 1999.
Appointed as Additional and thereafter as Senior Central Government Standing Council (Assistant Solicitor General of India) in the High Court of Madhya Pradesh at Jabalpur in the year 1994 by the Government of India up until 1999.
Appointed as Deputy Advocate General in the High Court of Madhya Pradesh at Jabalpur by the State Government of Madhya Pradesh in 1998, till the elevation to become a High Court Judge.
Elected as Member of State Bar Council of Madhya Pradesh in 1984 up and until the elevation to become a High Court Judge.
As a member of State Bar Council of Madhya Pradesh he was elected as Vice Chairman, Chairman Executive Committee, Chairman Enrolment Committee, Chairman Disciplinary Committee, Chairman Welfare Committee, and Legal Education and Law Colleges Inspection Committee.
Also appointed as the Chairman of All India Bar Council Disciplinary Appeal Committee and Member of Various other Committees.
Justice Gohil is author of many law books published both in Hindi and English. He was also awarded President award for his books.

He was appointed as Judge of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh in April 1999, and thereafter as Administrative Judge in Gwalior Bench of Madhya Pradesh and demitted office in July 2008.
Appointed as Chairman of Appellate Authority for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction (AAIFR) up and until June 2011.
Life Time Achievement (National Bar Award, 2009) for the contribution in Indian Judiciary presented by the International Council of Jurist and Indian Council of Jurist along with All India Bar Association.

Justice Gohil is also a Founder of All India Jain Arbitration and Mediation & Conciliation Center, New Delhi
He is Associated with many research and innovative activities in the field of law, legal education and judicial reforms every since an Advocate. While practicing law in Bhopal he also taught Law to students as a guest lecturer in Carrier College Bhopal, SSL Jain Law College Vidisha and also trained students preparing for Civil Judge Examination in Madhya Pradesh.
He is Author of various articles on vibrant subjects of law and Indian legal and judicial System
As a Social worker he was associated with many social, educational and cultural institutions. Lifetime member of Seth Sitarabai Laxmichand Jain Education Society at Vidisha which is running more than 15 educational institutions at Vidisha.
