Aban Offshore Ltd. (formerly Aban Loyd Chiles Offshore Ltd.) Aban Offshore Limited (AOL) and its subsidiaries chief of them is Aban Singapore Pte Ltd. (ASPL) registered in Singapore owns and operates eighteen (18) offshore drilling and production assets and is among the top offshore drilling contractors in the world in terms of assets owned. Aban as a group has grown in the last 40 years. Tracing its roots from Oil & Gas Pipeline construction, the group is now a large diversified entity focusing on energy. The flagship of the group is Aban Offshore Ltd. in the Offshore Drilling Space, which came into prominence after a series of acquisitions which include Mahindra’s followed by Hitech Drilling (Tata’s Drilling initiative) between 1992 and 2000. Aban Group is an established international drilling contractor with presence all over the world in each of its operational offices based on its contracts from Mexico, Brazil, UAE, Brunei, India, Malaysia and Vietnam. The group is headquarters in India and has its international operations Corporate Office in Singapore along with a Middle East Operations support base in Dubai, UAE. Aban has in its fold clients like Petrobras in Brazil, ONGC in India, Petronas in Malaysia, Cairn Energy - India, Shell - Brueni, Exxon Mobil, VietsovPetro - Vietnam, PeMex - Mexico.
