Youth career

Nash began his career with local Derry and District League youth team, Foyle Harps, where his industrious performances soon attracted attention from local league officials. Such was Nash's form, that in 2006 he was promoted into the Oxford United U-17 team that participated as a third Derry and District Select in the 2006 Foyle Cup. For a brief period in 2008, Nash departed from Foyle Harps and played in the Northwest Saturday Morning League for Gransha, before signing professionally with Derry City.

Senior career

Having played in numerous local and regional competitions at youth level, Nash was eventually snapped up by Derry City. Notably, he scored the dramatic winner on his senior debut for Derry City on March 20, 2009 in their League of Ireland fixture against Cork City.

Nash remarkably scored a hat-trick in 2mins 52 secs on 12 June 2009 in the FAI Cup fixture against the junior league side Ballymun United.

In 2009 Nash signed for IFA Premiership side Lisburn Distillery.
