Aaron Harstad (born April 27, 1992) is an American professional ice hockey defenseman currently playing for the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League (AHL). Harstad was selected by the Winnipeg Jets in the 7th round of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

Playing career

He was a member of the Green Bay Gamblers for the 2008-09, 2009–10, and the 2010-11 seasons. While with the Gamblers, Harstad helped the team win the league championship Clark Cup. Harstad completed his 3 season campaign with the Gamblers having played 108 games, scoring 9 goals with 20 assists. Following 3 seasons with the Gamblers, Harstad was selected in the 7th round of the 2011 NHL entry draft. His team, the Winnipeg Jets, had just completed a move from Atlanta to Winnipeg.

Harstad began play for the Colorado College Tigers of the WCHA in the fall of 2011 for the 2011-12 campaign. While in his first season, Aaron played in 29 games with 6 assists and 27 penalty minutes. After his senior season with the Tigers, Harstad signed an amateur try-out contract with the St. John's IceCaps of the AHL on March 20, 2015. He made his professional debut appearing in 5 games to end the 2014–15 season. On July 1, 2015, Harstad was signed a one-year contract with new Jets AHL affiliate, the Manitoba Moose.
