ASTV (Afrikaanse Satellietelevisie) is an Afrikaans South African television channel, which is privately owned. The station is based in Johannesburg in South Africa and was launched on the Vivid platform in 2009 and launched on TopTV satellite television satellite service in October 2010. ASTV also started broadcasting on 15 October 2013 on OpenViewHD to serve as a local and community Afrikaans TV channel with Christian values. On 15 August 2016 ASTV announced that the channel will no longer be available on OpenView HD from 14 October 2016 but it will still continue airing on StarSat.
