AMR is a subsidiary of Apple Leisure Group, along with Apple Vacations, Cheap Caribbean, Travel Impressions, Amstar, and Unlimited Vacation Club.
AMResorts was founded by Alejandro Zozaya, who now serves as CEO of AMR's parent company, Apple Leisure Group. Secrets Capri, in Mexico, was the company's first hotel and opened in 2003.

Small boutique resorts (30-130 rooms) that offer the highest level of luxury and service in the AMR collection. Children are allowed but not encouraged.

Sophisticated, yet highly social and energetic resorts for outgoing singles, couples, and friend groups.

Unlimited Vacation Club (UVC)
The Unlimited Vacation Club is a guest loyalty program founded in 2010 operated by AMResorts. Members are granted access to benefits including preferred rates at AMResorts-managed properties in Mexico and the Caribbean. Through a variety of participation levels—Pearl, Silver, Gold, Gold Plus, Platinum and Diamond— club members can enjoy discounted pricing and free hotel stays. In addition, participants can take advantage of discounted rates for a variety of room types at different AMResorts properties. The membership perks can be extended to friends and family for no additional cost.
