The company was established in 2002 as AGS Infotech Pvt. Ltd. by Ravi B. Goyal, current Chairman & Managing Director, was later made known as AGSTTL. Headquartered in Mumbai, the company operates across 700 cities and towns across India and South East Asia.
Background
In 2002, Ravi B. Goyal, established AGS Infotech Pvt. Limited (now known as AGS Transact Technologies Limited) and started manufacturing paint dispensers in partnership with FFM (Netherlands) at its manufacturing and assembling unit at Daman. The company ventured into banking and automation solutions by entering into a partnership with Wincor-Nixdorf(Germany) in 2004 and in 2006 stepped into manufacturing automation solutions for the retail industry. In 2005, the company partnered with New Zealand based Postec and diversified into the petroleum sector to provide gas station automation products.
In 2010, AGS Infotech Pvt. Ltd. was made known as AGS Transact Technologies Ltd. and commenced ATM Outsourcing and Managed Services for banks in India. The company introduced currency technology solutions under the brand Genuine in 2011 and later expanded into cash management services through the subsidiary company Securevalue India Ltd. formed in 2012.
And AGSTTL invested in Novus Technologies to provide banking solutions to financial institutions in Singapore, Cambodia, the Philippines and Indonesia. The company through Novus SGP subsidiary, recently entered Sri Lanka to provide banking payment solutions.
In early 2016 in line with Government’s Make in India initiative, AGSTTL started manufacturing of ATMs at its Daman unit in partnership with Wincor-Nixdorf. The company recently ventured into transit sector via automatic fare and electronic toll collection systems.
