ABC Wide Bay is an ABC Local Radio station based in Bundaberg broadcasting to the Wide Bay–Burnett region of Queensland. This includes the towns of Maryborough, Gympie, Hervey Bay and Mundubbera.

The station began broadcasting as 4QB in 1948 originally as a relay of the national program. The station was initially based in Maryborough, where studios were built and local programs began in 1950. The station now broadcasts through the following main AM and FM transmitters along with low power FM repeaters:

Weekdays

  • Breakfast with Wayne Shearman – 5:00 AM to 8:00 AM
  • Rural News with Kallee Buchanan – 6:15 AM to 6:30 AM
  • Mornings with David Dowsett – 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM
  • Saturday

  • Saturday Breakfast with Rick Whittle – 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM
  • When local programs are not broadcast the station is a relay of ABC Radio Queensland and ABC Brisbane.

    ABC Wide Bay is also the originating station for Early Morning Country, a country music program presented by ABC announcer Wayne Shearman. The program is broadcast statewide across the regional network between 5 am and 5:30 am each weekday.
