The film was released on YouTube Red on the 10th of February 2016 and received good reviews from critics, Evan Jaffe of Odyssey Online said "Honestly, I think that AT2UI is the only thing that's worth watching on YouTube Red right now because it represents what YouTube is all about. Being a Youtuber is about making people happy with your videos even if you don't have millions of subscribers like Lilly Singh. It's about helping people and getting through their darkest hours. It's about showing the world that they're not alone."
The film went on to receive the Streamy Award for Best Feature.
Singh's channel now has 11 million subscribers and over 1.5 billion views.
