A Dolls House (1959 film)

In this adaptation of the classic Henrik Ibsen play, Nora (Julie Harris) lives a seemingly comfortable life as the wife of bank manager Torvald (Christopher Plummer). But her past comes back to haunt her; some years ago, when Torvald took sick and the couple needed money, she forged a bond in order to get a loan from disreputable lawyer Krogstad (Hume Cronyn). When a desperate Krogstad shows up at the Helmers, Noras dark secret threatens to unravel her marriage.
