Supernal Music website describes the album as "more melodic than [Twilight of Europe], and inspired on the horrors of the Middle Ages. Between the fall of the Western Roman empire in A.D. 476 and the fall of Constantinople in 1453, Europe was ravaged by plagues and superstition. Greek was largely forgotten, and with it much of the learned texts of antiquity. 'A Chronicle of the Plague' is a musical tale of the terror of 1349, which depopulated entire villages and decimated Europe's human population..."
There was a limited edition vinyl with different cover artwork that was released in 2007 by Northern Heritage.
