8 Aquilae (abbreviated 8 Aql) is a star in the equatorial constellation of Aquila. 8 Aquilae is the Flamsteed designation. It has an apparent visual magnitude of 6.08 and is about 256 light-years (78 parsecs) distant from the Earth. This is a delta scuti variable with at least three overlapping pulsation frequencies. It is an F-type giant star with a stellar classification of F2 III.
