69 Punjab Regiment

69th Punjab Regiment, also known as "Mardan e Hur" Battalion (Urdu:مردانِ حُر بٹالين), is an infantry battalion of the Punjab Regiment of the Pakistan Army. It was raised in May 1990 in Okara Cantt.

Since its inception the Battalion has actively participated in various operations both internal and external, notably in Sindh anti-dacoit operation in 1990s and in War of Terror as part of Operation Zarb-e-Azb.

Upon its raising the battalion took the name of "Mardan e Hur" or the Men of the Hur after Al-Hurr ibn Yazid al Tamimi, a brave and famous warrior in the Muslim history.
