  • Operational history

    Performed antisubmarine patrols, 28 May–August 1943. Squadron inactivated after USAAF turned antisubmarine mission over to the United States Navy.

    Aircraft turned over to Navy upon inactivation for use in maritime reconnaissance and antisubmarine warfare. B-25s were assigned the designations PBJ-1C and PBJ-1D respectively.
