20th Century Fox Marquee Musicals refers to a collection of films released on DVD by 20th Century Fox. The series, a spinoff of the earlier Fox Studio Classics line, premiered in February 2006, with the releases of inaugural titles Daddy Long Legs, Pin-Up Girl, and Week-End in Havana. It has consisted of individually released films on DVD and boxed sets.

Selection of Films

The series has thus far consisted of 20th Century Fox musicals made from the 1930s to about 1960. Not every Fox musical of this period, however, has been released onto DVD as part of this series. Indeed, many remain unreleased at all while a few others (Alexander's Ragtime Band, Orchestra Wives, and Stormy Weather) were released as part of Fox's other DVD collections.

The series also does not include the classic Rodgers & Hammerstein musicals made at Fox in the 1950s and 1960s (The Sound of Music, The King and I, etc.), nor any of the Fox musicals starring Marilyn Monroe or Shirley Temple. These films are for the most part available on DVD, but not as part of the Marquee Musicals series.

DVDs in the Series

The Gang's All Here was released in 2007 but is scheduled for a re-release in 2008, likely due to an improved film source. The 2007 release was part of the Alice Faye set, while the 2008 will be part of the Carmen Miranda set.
