The elections in India in 2017 include the seven state legislative assembly elections. The tenure of the state legislative assembly of Goa, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Manipur, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh & Uttarakhand. The term of the President will also end this year.

A presidential election will be held in India before 25 July 2017, the day when incumbent President Pranab Mukherjee's term ends.

Vice Presidential election

A Vice Presidential election will be held in India in July 2017, the day when incumbent Vice President Hamid Ansari's term ends.

Punjab

Elections for the State assembly was held on February 04, 2017 with 75% voter turnout. In Punjab all the 117 assembly constituencies have triangular contests between major parties makes the results uncertain.

Result will be declared on 11 March 2017.

Uttar Pradesh

Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh will be held between 11 February to 8 March 2017 in seven phases.

Result will be declared on 11 March 2017.

Uttarakhand

Elections for the State assembly was held on February 15, 2017 with a 65.64% turnout.

Result will be declared on 11 March 2017.

Manipur

Assembly elections in Manipur will be held on 4 March and 8 March 2017 in two phases.

Result will be declared on 11 March 2017.

Goa

Elections for the State assembly was held on February 04, 2017 with 83% turnout.

Result will be declared on 11 March 2017.

Gujarat

Elections for the State assembly are expected to be held in November 2017.

Himachal Pradesh

Elections for the State assembly are expected to be held in December 2017.
