The 2016–17 Maritime Junior A Hockey League season will be the 50th season in league history. The season will consist of 50 games to be played by each MHL team.
Contents
At the end of the regular season, the leagues top teams will compete for the Kent Cup, the league's playoff championship trophy. The team successful in winning the Kent Cup will have a chance to compete for the 2017 Fred Page Cup to determine the Eastern Canadian Champion, if successful in winning the team will then move on to compete for the 2017 Royal Bank Cup to determine the 2017 Junior 'A' champion.
