2015–16 Azadegan League was the 15th season of Azadegan League since its establishment in 2001. The season featured 15 teams from the 2014–15 Azadegan League, two new teams relegated from the 2014–15 Iran Pro League: Paykan and Naft Masjed Soleyman and three new teams promoted from the 2nd Division 2014–15: Aluminium Arak as Group A champions and Bahman Shiraz as Group B champions (Khooneh Be Khooneh bought Azadegan League license of Bahman Shiraz) and Kheybar Khorramabad as play-off winner.
