The 2015–16 season was Torquay United's 117th season of existence and their second consecutive season in the National League. Along with competing in the National League, the club also participated in the FA Cup and FA Trophy. The season covered the period from 1 July 2015 to 30 June 2016.

Pre-season friendlies
On 14 May 2015, Torquay United had reached an agreement with Tiverton Town for a pre-season friendly on 15 July 2015. On 20 May 2015, Torquay United announced their second pre-season friendly against Exeter City. On 9 June 2015, two more friendlies were confirmed against Truro City and Yeovil Town.
