The 2015–16 Northern Football League season is the 118th in the history of the Northern Football League, a football competition in England. Teams are divided into two divisions.

Division One

Division One consisted of 22 clubs.

The following 3 clubs left Division One before the season:

  • Billingham Synthonia - relegated to Division Two
  • Celtic Nation - disbanded
  • Crook Town - relegated to Division Two
  • The following 3 clubs joined Division One before the season:

  • Norton & Stockton Ancients - promoted from Division Two
  • Seaham Red Star - promoted from Division Two
  • Washington - promoted from Division Two
  • Only Bishop Auckland applied for promotion to Step 4. They would have needed to finish in the top three to achieve this.
