The 2015–16 season is Macclesfield Town's 142nd season of existence and their fourth consecutive season in the National League. Along with competing in the National League, the club will also participate in the FA Cup and FA Trophy. The season covers the period from 1 July 2015 to 30 June 2016.

Pre-season friendlies
On 8 May 2015, Macclesfield Town announced that Rochdale will visit on 18 July 2015 in a pre-season friendly. On 18 May 2015, a friendly match against League One side Bury was confirmed. A day later, Macclesfield Town added Kidsgrove Athletic and Nantwich Town to their pre-season schedule. Another friendly was added to the pre-season schedule on 20 May 2015, against Stockport County. On 27 May 2015, the club announced Stoke U21's will visit on 1 August 2015. On 2 June 2015, a friendly against Sheffield United was announced. On 30 July 2015, the game against Stoke was called off. On 31 July 2015, this was replaced by a home friendly against Congleton Town.
