The 2015–16 season is Chester's sixth season of existence and their third consecutive season in the 5th tier of English football, renamed prior to this season to the National League. Along with competing in the National League, the club will also participate in the FA Cup, FA Trophy and Cheshire Senior Cup. The season covers the period from 1 July 2015 to 30 June 2016.

    Pre-season friendlies

    On 12 May 2015, Chester announced four pre-season friendlies against Rochdale, Trafford, Hednesford Town and Stalybridge Celtic. On 1 June 2015, a friendly against Liverpool U21's was confirmed for 29 July 2015.

    Fixtures and results

    On 3 July 2015, the fixtures for the forthcoming National League season was announced. Chester was to start the season at home against Braintree Town.

    FA Cup

    On 12 October the Football Association announced the draw for the fourth qualifying round, which was broadcast live on Talksport. Chester will face Altrincham.

    Cheshire Senior Cup

    On 27 August the Cheshire Football Association announced the preliminary round draw. Chester will face Winsford United. On 12 November the Cheshire Football Association announced the first round draw. Chester will face either Hyde United or Stockport Town.
