The 2015–16 Boston Bruins season was the 92nd season for the National Hockey League franchise that was established on November 1, 1924. The season began its regular games on October 8, 2015 against the Winnipeg Jets with a 6–2 loss. One all-time franchise achievement the Bruins attained this season is shared by only their greatest rival, the Canadiens - a total of 3,000 wins in the team's existence, achieved by the Bruins on January 8, 2016 in a 4–1 road victory against the New Jersey Devils. However, the Bruins missed the playoffs for the second straight season.
