The 2014 League of Ireland Premier Division season was Cork City's 30th year competing in the League of Ireland and 3rd consecutive season in the Premier Division. It was also manager John Caulfield's first season in charge of Cork City F.C.. They finished 2nd place in the league after a dramatic final game of the season against Dundalk F.C.

Cork City FC started pre-season training more than a week before any other League of Ireland club, they began on 6 January. Several players from around the world trained and played friendlies with City while on trial.

League Player Of The Month

Mark O Sullivan - June

Mark O Sullivan was the only Cork City player to receive the League of Ireland Premier Division Player of the Month award in the 2014 season. Mark received it for the month of June, scoring 3 goals in 2 league games including a spectacular volley against Munster rivals, Limerick.
