The 2014–15 season was the club's seventh season since reforming and its second consecutive season in the Conference Premier. It was also the 93rd season of a club representing the town of Halifax.

  • 13 May 2014: Tadcaster Albion announce a pre-season friendly against Halifax.
  • 15 May 2014: Halifax announce that the club's second longest serving player and club captain Danny Lowe will be leaving the club after five years, along with youth product Ryan Toulson, who had suffered a season-ending knee injury against MK Dons in November of the previous season, following three seasons at the club after previously having left due to the old club's liquidation. Four days later Guiseley announce that both have signed for them.
  • 21 May 2014: Mossley list a friendly against Halifax on their website.
  • 28 May 2014: Halifax announce a pre-season friendly against Preston North End.
  • 29 May 2014: Halifax announce a pre-season friendly against Notts County.
  • 30 May 2014: Altrincham announce that Ryan Crowther has signed for them from Halifax.
  • 3 June 2014: Rochdale announce a pre-season friendly against Halifax. Halifax later announce the full list of pre-season friendlies which include games at home to Barnsley and away at Winsford United, Harrogate Town and Buxton. Also, Spennymoor Town announce they have signed John McReady from Halifax.
  • 17 June 2014: Halifax announce that record goalscorer Lee Gregory has signed for Millwall following his remarkable season scoring 32 goals in all competitions, before announcing that Simon Ainge, Scott McManus, Lois Maynard and Josh Wilson have signed 1-year extensions to their deals at Halifax.
  • 22 June 2014: Halifax announce that goalkeeper Matt Glennon will be staying for the coming season, before it is announced that Halifax's first friendly at Winsford has been postponed due to pitch issues.
  • 23 June 2014: Halifax announce that winger Adam Smith and midfielder Paul Marshall have signed extensions to their contracts. They later announce that the club has signed a deal with Adidas for them to become the club's new kit supplier, taking over from Sondico (formerly Vandanel) who had been supplying the club's kit since 2007.
  • 24 June 2014: Halifax announce that they have signed striker Richard Peniket from Tamworth.
  • 27 June 2014: Halifax announce the signing of striker Ross Dyer from Mansfield Town.
  • 29 June 2014: Neil Aspin announces in an interview with Shaymen Player that Jon Worthington has signed an extension to his playing deal while also becoming part of the physiotherapy team.
  • 30 June 2014: Halifax announce the signing of defender Kevin Roberts following his release from Cambridge United.
  • 1 July 2014: Halifax announce the signings of striker Scott Boden and defender Steve Williams from Macclesfield Town.
  • 2 July 2014: Halifax announce the signing of defender James Bolton from Macclesfield Town after having had loan spells in each of the previous two seasons.
  • 9 July 2014: Halifax begin their pre-season schedule with a comfortable 5–0 victory over Tadcaster.
  • 11 July 2014: Alfreton announce the signing of defender Chris Smith following his release from Halifax.

  • 2 August 2014: Halifax complete their impressive pre-season schedule with a 4–0 win over Buxton.
  • 6 August 2014: Neil Aspin announces in a supporters' club meeting that Danny Schofield has signed after being on trial, before it is confirmed by the club the following day, as a short-term deal.
  • 9 August 2014: Halifax begin their league campaign with a 1–0 win over Dover, as Scott Boden, Ross Dyer, Kevin Roberts, Danny Schofield and Richard Peniket make their debuts.
  • 12 August 2014: It is announced by the club that manager Neil Aspin has signed a 2-year extension to his contract and becoming full-time in the process, while later on Halifax win their first home league game 3–1 against Southport with Steve Williams and Jamie Jackson making their debuts, the latter marking his debut with the game's final goal. Marc Roberts also makes his 50th appearance for Halifax.
  • 22 August 2014: Halifax announce that Dominic Marie has gone on a month's loan to New Mills, before it is later extended for another month.
  • 5 September 2014: Halifax announce that Josh Wilson has gone on a month's loan to Guiseley.

  • 9 September 2014: Adam Smith makes his 50th appearance for Halifax as a sub in a 1–1 draw at Macclesfield.

  • 19 September 2014: Halifax announce the signing of Danny Hattersley from Southport on a month's loan, as Ross Dyer moves in the opposite direction on a month's loan.
  • 20 September 2014: Danny Hattersley scores a brace on his debut in a 5–0 rout of Telford, and Jake Hibbs also makes his debut as a substitute 14 months after joining Halifax.

  • 28 October 2014: Halifax beat Chorley 5–0 in the FA Cup 4th qualifying round replay to book a home tie against local rivals Bradford City, as former Halifax talisman James Dean is sent off for Chorley.
  • 9 November 2014: Halifax are narrowly defeated by Bradford in the FA Cup 1st round as a new club record attendance of 8,042 is set.
  • 11 November 2014: Halifax sign defender Sean McGinty from Rochdale on a month's loan.
  • 14 November 2014: Halifax sign midfielder Josh Gillies from Carlisle on a month's loan
  • 20 November 2014: Halifax announce that Josh Wilson has gone on a month's loan to AFC Fylde and Josh Gillies' loan from Carlisle is cancelled after he sustained an injury in training.
  • 26 November 2014: Halifax announce that Will Hatfield has rejoined the club on loan from Accrington, having played one game for the club in 2012.

  • 21 February 2015: Graham Hutchison makes his Halifax debut as Halifax beat Braintree 1–0.
  • 5 March 2015: Halifax announce that David Mellor has been recalled from his loan by Oldham having made just a single appearance in the FA Trophy.
  • 12 March 2015: It is announced that Ross Killock has been recalled by Leeds having made 3 appearances.
  • 17 March 2015: Matt Glennon makes his 150th appearance for Halifax in a dramatic 1–1 draw against league leaders Barnet.
  • 21 March 2015: James Bolton makes his 50th appearance for Halifax in a 0–0 draw at Altrincham. It is also announced that Jake Hibbs has gone on loan to Hyde until the end of the season.
  • 24 March 2015: A 2–2 draw with Gateshead sees Halifax set a new club record of 6 consecutive draws and another new club record of 8 games without a win.
  • 26 March 2015: Droylsden announce that Sam Hillhouse has signed for them on loan.
  • 18 April 2015: Marc Roberts makes his 100th appearance for Halifax in a disappointing 2–0 defeat against Torquay.
  • 25 April 2015: Halifax end the season in 9th place following a galling 3–2 defeat at Woking, a match which epitomised Halifax's season.
