FA WSL Continental Cup
In the new format of the competition, Doncaster were named in group A alongside Birmingham City, Bristol Academy and Everton. On matchday two the Belles were eliminated following a 1–0 defeat at Everton. Michelle Hinnigan scored the winning goal on 72 minutes after an error by Mary Earps, but John Buckley defended his goalkeeper who had made several saves to keep the team in the match. Buckley also praised 16-year-old Lucy Sowerby who started her first game for the Belles at left-back.
