The 2012 Austin Aztex season was the club's first season of play in their second incarnation, having been founded in the fall of 2011 after the previous Austin Aztex (2008-2010) moved and became Orlando City SC. For the 2012 season the Aztex played in the PDL's Southern Conference in the Mid South Division. The finished second in the division to qualify for the playoffs and advanced past Ocala Stampede in the first round, but ultimately fell to Orlando City U-23 in the Southern Conference final. Kekuta Manneh and Kristopher Tyrpak were the team's top scorers for this season with 10 goals each.
