The 2012-13 Ugandan Big League was the 4th season of the official second tier Ugandan football championship.

Overview
The 2012–13 Uganda Big League was contested by 19 teams divided into two groups. The Elgon Group was won by CRO FC and the Rwenzori Group was won by Bright Stars FC. The third promotion place went to Soana FC who won the promotion play-off.
Clubs within the Big League enter the Ugandan Cup and Bright Stars FC progressed as far as the Quarter Finals where they were defeated 2-0 away to SC Victoria University, the eventual winners of the competition.
Elgon Group
Hoima Busia FC were docked 6 points and 6 goals for not honouring fixtures with Rwenshama FC and Kasese Youth FC.
Rwenshama FC were docked 6 points and 6 goals for not honouring fixtures with Mbale Heroes FC and Bugembe United FC.
Kasese Youth FC were docked 6 points and 6 goals for not honouring fixtures with Ngora Freda Carr FC and Soroti Garage FC.
FCC ruled in favour of Jinja MC when Kasese Youth did not turn up for their fixture - points and goals adjustments unknown.
Rwenzori Group
UTODA FC were docked 9 points and 9 goals for not honouring fixtures with Baza Holdings FC and Bright Stars FC.
Iganga MC FC were docked 3 points and 3 goals for not honouring their fixture with Bright Stars FC.
Iganga MC FC did not travel to Mvara Boys FC - points and goals adjustments unknown.
