  • 25 October 2012: Gateshead announce the signing of midfielder Lee Bullock on a one-month loan from York City.
  • 22 November 2012: Gateshead announce the signing of striker Liam Henderson on loan from York City until January & Lee Bullock's loan is extended for another month.
  • 26 November 2012: Gateshead announce Ryan Donaldson's initial half-season deal has been extended until the end of the season.
  • 10 December 2012: Gateshead announce manager Ian Bogie and assistant Terry Mitchell have been relieved of their duties at the club. Reserve team manager Anth Smith is named as caretaker manager.
  • 13 December 2012: Anth Smith is named manager until the end of the season.
  • 3 January 2013: Gateshead name David Rush as assistant manager to Anth Smith, with former reserve team manager Paul Bryson returning as head coach.
  • 4 January 2013: Gateshead announce the permanent signing of striker Liam Henderson from York City.
  • 8 January 2013: Defender Paddy Boyle's loan deal is extended until the end of the season, while fellow defender Chris Bush joins Lincoln City on a one-month loan.
  • 17 January 2013: Striker Yemi Odubade joins Forest Green Rovers on loan until the end of the season.
  • 30 January 2013: Defender Glenn Wilson joins Salisbury City on loan until the end of the season.
  • 30 January 2013: Gateshead sign defender Peter Bore after a successful trial.
  • 15 February 2013: Due to drainage problems at Gateshead International Stadium, meaning Gateshead only played one home game in over three months, Gateshead announce that at least seven of their remaining twelve home league fixtures will be played at Victoria Park, home of Hartlepool United.
  • 21 February 2013: Gateshead announce the signing of striker Ben Everson on a one-month loan from York City and the return of fellow striker Ryan McGorrigan from Blyth Spartans.
  • 27 February 2013: After an unsuccessful attempt to play the home game against Newport County on 26 February at The International Stadium, and with Victoria Park being unavailable, Gateshead's home game against Kidderminster Harriers is switched to York City's Bootham Crescent.
  • 28 February 2013: Gateshead confirm that The International Stadium will not stage any more games for the remainder of the season.
  • 15 March 2013: Gateshead announce the signing of striker Jake Fowler on a one-month loan from Middlesbrough.
  • 21 March 2013: Gateshead announce that their upcoming game against Newport County will take place at York Street, home of Boston United, resulting in a 368-mile round trip for a home game.
  • 28 March 2013: Defender Chris Bush and striker Ryan McGorrigan leave the club on loan, joining Hereford United and Blyth Spartans respectively.
  • 29 March 2013: Striker Ben Everson's loan from York City is extended until the end of the season.
  • 6 April 2013: Gateshead beat Luton Town 5–1 at Brunton Park, Luton's heaviest defeat since being relegated to the Conference National in 2009.
  • 20 April 2013: Gateshead beat Ebbsfleet United 2–0 at the Riverside Stadium on the final day of the season to ensure Conference National football for 2013–14.
  • 24 April 2013: Gateshead announce manager Anth Smith has been given a new one-year contract.
  • 25 April 2013: Gateshead under 19s retain their Football Conference Youth Alliance North Division title.
  • 25 April 2013: Gateshead release seven players, while Paddy Boyle and Ben Everson return to their parent clubs.
  • 30 April 2013: Gateshead Reserves win the Central League Cup after a 2–1 victory over Mansfield Town Reserves at Field Mill.
