  • 16 June - Actor Enver Petrovci and his partner Loreta Bala win the second season of Dancing with the Stars.
  • 29 December - Rona Nishliu is selected to represent Albania at the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest with her song "Suus". She is selected to be the ninth Albanian Eurovision entry during Festivali i Këngës 50 held at the Palace of Congresses in Tirana.
