Julie Hoornweg continued her role as head coach of the Vixens, while seasoned internationals Sharelle McMahon and Bianca Chatfield co-captained the team in 2011. During the season, Australian representative player Julie Corletto returned to the starting lineup after a long recovery from injury, while fellow Diamonds player McMahon suffered a season-ending ACL rupture.
