The 2011–12 Northern Football League season (known as the 2011–12 skilltrainingltd Northern Football League for sponsorship reasons) is the 114th in the history of the Northern Football League, a football competition in England. Teams are divided into two divisions.

Division One

Division One features 19 teams which competed in the first division last season, along with three teams promoted from the Second Division:

    (C) = Champion; (R) = Relegated; (P) = Promoted; (E) = Eliminated; (O) = Play-off winner; (A) = Advances to a further round.

    (Q) = Qualified to the phase of tournament indicated; (TQ) = Qualified to tournament, but not yet to the particular phase indicated; (RQ) = Qualified to the relegation tournament indicated; (DQ) = Disqualified from tournament.

    Division Two features 17 teams which competed in the second division last season, along with five new teams:

  • Esh Winning, Ryton & Crawcrook Albion & West Allotment Celtic, relegated from the First Division.
  • Alnwick Town, promoted from the Northern Football Alliance.
  • Easington Colliery, promoted from the Wearside Football League.
