The club began the 2009-2010 season in League Two for the first year since 2005, following a disappointing relegation the previous season. They are currently 6th in the table, with 66 points from 44 games. Their leading goalscorer is Adebayo Akinfenwa with 16 goals in all competitions. They entered the FA Cup at the First Round stage and were eliminated at home to Southampton 3-2 in December.
