Skaters competed at the senior and junior levels in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. The results of this competition were used to pick the Canadian teams to the 2008 World Figure Skating Championships, the 2008 Four Continents Figure Skating Championships, and the 2008 World Junior Figure Skating Championships.

The competition took place from January 16 through 20th, 2008 at the Pacific National Exhibition in Vancouver, British Columbia.
