The competition started on 30 August 2008 with the First Round and concluded on 2 May 2009 with the Final, held at Athens Olympic Stadium "Spyridon Louis".
Olympiacos claimed this season's Greek Cup with a 15–14 victory on penalties over AEK after a 4–4 draw.
