10 March - Kabát are selected to represent the Czech Republic at the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest with their song "Malá dáma". They are selected to be the first Czech Eurovision entry during Eurosong held at the Veletržní Palác in Prague.
10 May - Czech Republic enters the Eurovision Song Contest for the first time with "Malá dáma" performed by Kabát.
22 December - Freestyle skier Aleš Valenta and his partner Iva Langerová win the second season of StarDance.
