The 2006 Players Championship was a golf tournament on the PGA Tour, held March 23–26 at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. It was the 33rd Players Championship. Stephen Ames completed the biggest win of his career by a comfortable margin of six strokes ahead of runner-up Retief Goosen.
