The 2006 North Queensland Cowboys season was the 12th in the club's history. Coached by Graham Murray and captained by Travis Norton, they competed in the National Rugby League's 2006 Telstra Premiership and finished 9th (out of 15), failing to reach the play-offs for the first time since 2003. Aaron Payne was named the club's player of the year.
