1 Both teams played a double points game, won by Adelaide, which resulted their games played being recorded as seven.Playoffs
The playoffs were held at Sydney's Glaciarium. Newcastle defeated the West Sydney 4–1 in the final to win their first championship and the Goodall Cup.
