Mersin İdmanyurdu (also Mersin İdman Yurdu, Mersin İY, or MİY) Sports Club; located in Mersin, east Mediterranean coast of Turkey in 2002–03. The team participated in Second League Category A for the first time in the league's second season. Mersin İdmanyurdu football team has finished 2002–03 season in 12th place in Turkish Second League Category A. Macit Özcan was club president. Nasır Belci was head coach in the beginning of the season. In the mid-season Yücel İldiz took over the team's management. Savaş Göcen was the most appeared player (34), while top goalscorer was Özgür Nasuh with 10 goals.
2002–03 TFF First League participation
Mersin idmanyurdu 2002–03 Second League Category A (the league has been played under the name of "Second League Category A" between 2001–02 and 2005–06; "TFF League A" in 2006–07; and "TFF First League" since 2007–08.
