The Cincinnati Reds' 2000 season was a season in American baseball. It consisted of the Cincinnati Reds attempting to win the National League Central, although coming short at 2nd place. They had 85 wins and 77 losses. They were only the 2nd team in the modern era of baseball to not be shut out an entire season.

  • October 30, 1999: Stan Belinda and Jeffrey Hammonds were traded by the Reds to the Colorado Rockies for Dante Bichette and cash.

  • December 13, 1999: DeWayne Wise was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays from the Cincinnati Reds in the 1999 rule 5 draft.
